Day Log and Crewmate Dish

Personal Log. Stardate 302575.3

All done! I cleaned my side of my quarter, I cleaned the common areas, I cleaned even the second room. They say I am getting a new roommate.

This is my last night roommate-less. I will enjoy it by reading in the common area; but to be honest I am both excited about a new roommate and scared. Sam was...she was great. I really enjoyed having her here and we became friends. I've had tough luck with roommates. Some didn't want to stay, said I talked too much, others said I was annoying, and Sam and I fit but she left.

Audible Sigh

It could be just me but I just don't know. I haven't been told who this is just that it's an officer. It's kind of odd to put an officer with an NCO but hey, who am I to question ops.

Oh yeah! I almost forgot. Ops! They were aaaammmazing. They have been working with us to get the ship up to speed and now it's doing great... well almost but the new Chief in Engineering is great. We all worked like machines today. I keep forgetting how Vulcans are quite the task masters. Like me they can focus on a task for hours and be happy doing it.

I am so happy that things are getting done and that I am finally getting to work on Bella. I'm also helping with Replicators and have even recruited the captain's spouse.

Oh my gosh! I forgot to talk about him! A Cardassian! A real life Cardassian like me...well I'm half Bajoran too but he is not only a Cardassian but a Borg..ex Borg. It's like a comic book hero come to life.

I had lunch with him and we talked about how he met his husband. I'm am totally living vicariously through that one.

We are a fine group. I am looking forward to meeting the new CO but not sure when that will happen. Might be days but hey we've been looking for him on many planets and finally found him. It's like hunting for a mythical creature and then poof! He's here.

Okay. Well that's about all. Oh yeah. Started a new book today. It's on Bajoran myths and rites. I've never studied either of my cultures too much so I figured it was time. The trip to that planet got me thinking. I talked with one of the people there and that got me curious about both my peoples and who I am. I think I shall start my self exploration with a book!
