Over Cautious

Tilian entered sickbay and looked around. Nobody seemed to be there. He walked around mentally going over his to do list. He had delivered his bags to the shuttle he needed a few things from Sickbay and he'd be ready for his adventure on Risa.

Finally he found someone in the offices. "Hello?"

Snapping forward in his chair and tossing the PaDD on the desk "Hello, I'm sorry I didn't hear you come in" Jarin said offering a soft smile as he stood from the desk and started toward the visitor.

"No problem. You must be the new doctor that is coming on. I handed our file to the captain...er commander a while ago. The XO send his regrets but has had me make an appointment to see you when he's back off leave." He gave a small bow. "Tilian Grol, Yeoman."

"Pleasure to meet you" Jarin extended his right hand with a smile on his face.

Tilian shook the doctors hand. "It is nice to meet you as well." He paused. "Do you have some time?"

"Absolutely, what can I do for you?" in all honesty Jarin was bored, he was going over some reports that were left for him to review by the nursing staff but it was quite.

"I am leaving for Risa so I will need every shot that would be needed as well as something to help me sleep while there. I have every minute planned and I cannot afford to be ill."

Doctor Alexander gestured toward the nearest bio bed and went to a console to pull up the Petty Officers medical records. "Something to sleep?" Jarin asked with a curious tone "you don't think you'll be able to sleep on Risa?"

"I cannot usually sleep when I go to a hotel. My mind begins to count germs."

Jarin gave a smile and started running a quick tricorder scan on Grol "Looks like your pretty up to date on your med records" the doctor started preparing a few hypo's for Grol.

"Yes well one can never be too careful with respect to germs." He shrugged. "I will be speaking with the XO before I leave. I know what he always wants to ensure that new crew is settling in. How have you been settling in?"

"I'm doing great" Jarin said with a smile and held the hypo up to Grol's neck and injected the needed vaccinations for a visit to Risa. He also handed him a few vials of something to help him sleep.

"Thank you." He said. He studied the man. "Will you be taking advantage of the refit time?"

"Well being I was just assigned" he smiled "I figure I'll continue to work on some projects here in sickbay."

"Indeed. Your dedication is admirable." He paused. "So. Will I be protected with the shots you gave me?"

"You should be more than fine" the Doctor said with a smile. He understood why people were nervous about these things, but there were simple fixes just like the one the Petty Officer took.

"I dislike germs," he blurted out. "I ensure that I take every precaution before I go anywhere." He looked around. "Including here." He shrugged. "Alright, Do you know anything about Veterinary medicine?"

"Not a lot sadly" Jarin said with a shrug "but I could possibly figure it out, whats up?" he asked with an inquisitive tone to his voice and a raised brow.

"I was going to see if my Cat needed any shots but there are Veterinarians on Risa." He stood. "Well. I should be heading to pack then."

"Have a good trip" Jarin said with a smile.

He gave a nod. "Thanks."
