Theta Fleet Monthly Awards

First and foremost, we had yet another great month. Though it is not the quantity of posts that do it, it is the quality that everyone puts into their characters and their writing. Unfortunately, we lost one of those spectacular individuals who sharpened her craft over many years. Kim Finney passed away early this month after a serious car accident. She will be dearly missed by us and by many. The one thing that she would want is for this place to continue because the Standing Bear was one of her favorite sims that she has ever been a part of. She loved writing with everyone.

The May 2021 Awards


Theta Fleet Command Staff mourns the loss of Kim Finney. She will always be remembered for her dedication to the sims that she was on, contributed to either as a writer or simply as a graphic artist. Kim has been a part of several fleets over many years. She was my third XO for the USS Musashi and was part of the USS Standing Bear since we began.

For the past few years, she has been the XO for the USS Wolff and was a longtime member of the USS Pandora in both its runs. She is a former CO of Bravo Fleet's Olympus Base and former CO of Union Mining Station-42. She was 22nd Fleet's inaugural Orville Division Head. Kim Finney was a plethora of things, but simply put she was Kim.


The USS Standing Bear once again was a recipient of the Gold Unit of Distinction.



Scarlet was selected as Player of the Month by the fleet for her commitment to her character of Adrianna Baciami and fantastic contributions in posts.
