Adrianna Baciami was tossed into her cell like a used cigarette, for the third time in two days. She rolled to a stop, hitting the back wall. She was cold, soaking wet and exhausted. Her clothes had become semi transparent from the water, but had blotches of small traces of blood.

At what point had the need for information turned into a voyeuristic approach to making life hell? She was unsure if they were still after anything specific or if this was a game. It must have been fun to watch such a stubbornly strong spirit crack under the pressures of a mere mortal man.

Adrianna lay there, still but shivering. Her energy drained from trying to keep it together. The woman had listened to Leopold, and had given König nonsense that sounded believable, but she had first endured an hour or two of suffering in the hopes boredom would kick in. Her own ego could not step aside to give a nazi the satisfaction of her giving in without a fight.

Adrianna prayed that Leopold was alright. She was unsure of his ability to keep it together at the moment, after all his judgments of self worth must have been clouded at the moment further to grief plaguing him. He must have been angry with anyone in uniform and she could imagine him fighting back, at the least with his words.

The Italian was curious to know if he knew that König had taken a shining to her, or knew of what she was being put through. She hoped he didn't for his own personal safety. He wouldn't have been able to stop it, and even if he could have, the chances were that they would just use Adrianna as bait.

Adrianna groaned, finally lifting her head up from what may have been a concrete floor. Her eyes looked around for anything that may help her get warm. She saw a spare change of clothes awaiting her on her bed, but other than a thin, threadbear blanket, Ade would have to force herself to move to keep warm. With a lack of energy, and with pain radiating from all of her joints, she felt broken and unable to even care for herself.

If she could just rest, right here in the growing puddle of water, she could maybe find the enthusiasm and pure energy to persevere in self care. It would be a dangerous bargain with herself, risking pneumonia or hypothermia. It was a risk, she felt she had no choice but to take.

Adrianna lowered her head back to the floor, a sharp pain from the icy cold touching her cheek made her wince. Her eyes started to close and before long she was out for count.

Adrianna prayed that the message Leopold had sent had not fallen on deaf ears. She didn't know if her body could take much more.
