Kicking and Screaming

Mission:
Operation: Recall
Location: Vashti
Timeline: 2393 - Amonth prior to Cassablanca being on Vashti

Maximus growled as he ran. "Sons of dogs!" He yelled at the two security grunts sent to get him.
Those dogs wouldn't take him. He'd gotten the call to be back in uniform and those dishonorable jackasses at Starfleet had pulled a loophole to his resignation that he hadn't even seen when he'd signed.
"Ensign Mackenzie you will cease your running....you will report to us or we'll take you by force."
They'd have to have sent a Vulcan this time. Last month they tried sending some snot nosed little human git and he'd knocked him on his butt in no time.
"Your mother's are Ferengi!" He called to the two Vulcans chasing him.
Grinning at his own joke he leapt a vegetable stall in a single jump and landed with a thundering thud. He continued running. He'd been on Vashti long enough to be considered local and was well liked so he noted that the Romulans, Gods bless them, were slowing the fleeters down.
He banked right saw a small sanctuary and dove inside the partially opened door closing it behind him.
Max belly crawled to a window and peaked outside in time to see the Vulcan officers run past the building. He turned away from the window and sank back to the floor and let out a breath that he'd been holding.
He got to his feet and found a back way out. He'd have to leave Vashti. He had no intention of going back to Starfleet.
No way. He was done with those losers. He did miss his adoptive parents though and his only friend, a man who was more brother to him then his own brothers were. Not for the first time he began to think about his family on Capella. Were they all dead? He didn't know. He hadn't bothered to find out. That had been what seemed like a thousand years ago.
Sighing Max turned a corner that put him back on his original path. He had to get back to his shack get his gear and leave.
His home on Vashti was pretty far away from the bigger cities. This little village was small and out of the way how the fleeters had found him? He knew not.
All he knew was that he was in a crap load of trouble if he couldn't make it off the planet soon. It took a good hour to get back home. He'd wound around and around to ensure that he had not been followed and that the fleeters were not on his tail.
He slithered into his hovel and started packing. He didn't have much. A small bag pack and he was ready to go. Perhaps someone would find use for the place he'd called home for the last year. He looked around sadly. "Well when you gotta go you gotta go."
He turned to the door and slipped out only to freeze in his tracks. "For the love of..."
"Ensign Mackenzie you have been recalled. You will come with us."
Max slipped his bag pack on. "No."
"You can either come quietly or kicking and screaming."
Max raised and eyebrow at the two Vulcans. "Well that's not a very logical statement."
"Nonetheless it has been made."
Max sighed. "Alright. I guess I'll take kicking and screaming."
Maximus let out a roar as he launched an attack so fast the Vulcans flinched weather form the sound or the speed. Reaching into his belt he grabbed what looked like a small cylinder and when he shook it the device extended to into a baton. He swung with all his might knocking one Vulcan right behind the knees. "There is my kick and my scream, Hope you enjoyed the show. Catch me if you can goblins!"
He banked left and just as he was about to turn a figure stepped out. He recognized the young ensign he'd knocked out last month and too late he noticed a phaser that the man was holding.
Without so much as a thought the human fired and Maximus let out a grunt as his body fell to the ground.
The ensign walked over kicking Maximus in the ribs. "That's for breaking my jaw asshole."
