{ON:}

Soral was taking second shift on the bridge while the Commander completed some personal tasks. He had taken the opportunity to call Lieutenant Vali and speak with he about the decision that was made as to her responsibility on the ship. He sipped his tea waiting. While he did he thought of his night with the good doctor of the station. It was brief bit of paradise in what seemed to be an endless solitude.

T'Lanna made her way to the bridge, she was looking forward to being on the bridge for the first time since her arrival. As she stepped out of the turbolift she made her way across to where Soral was sitting in the centre seat. "Reporting as requested Sir."

"Excellent." He stood. He motioned for her to follow and they headed to the ready room. He walked over to the replicator and turned to her, "Would you like something Lieutenant?"

"No, thank you Sir. I had something not too long ago." She smiled as she stood infront of the desk, not wanting to take a seat before being invited to do so.

"Have a seat." He said walking back to his own chair. He sat down. "I have spoken with commander Victrix. She has agreed that you should see the crew in a counseling capacity. I do however have a request."

T’Lanna smiled and nodded. “Of course Commander, What can I do for you?”

"Work closely with Doctor Rose and keep him in the loop."

“Of course Sir. It’s important as medical professionals that we keep each other in the loop. Doctor Rose is the one other person who truly sees members of the crew in the way a Counsellor would. He will be important in helping me select the crew who are most in need.”

"Excellent. I am granting staff time they need to visit the station. We will be leaving soon. If you wish to get items from the station please feel free to do so."

"Thank you Sir, I might have a quick look around and see what there is." She smiled warmly.

"Indeed. There are several Vulcan shops I could make a recommendation if you wish."

"Please do" T'Lanna nodded enthusiastically. "Saves me wondering around aimlessly."

He pulled an empty data PaDD and wrote down a few shops handing it to her. He stood. "I shall walk you to the docking port. I have to see the Ops chief and he is down there." He had also hoped to speak with her about something.

"Thank you Commander" T'Lanna took the PADD and stood ready to leave. "I'll be sure to visit each of these. I would like to get some fresh Vulcan ingredients for dishes."

"Indeed." As they walked he asked, "Do you cook? I can talk to ops about having a small cooking unit installed. I've had one put in."

"I do, and that would be wonderful if you could Sir." T'Lanna smiled warmly as they walked together. "I replicate food when I'm feeling lazy but I do enjoy cooking. Fresh ingredients are so much nicer than replicated food."

"I will ensure that it is done." Lucky they were still on the station they could get the parts they needed from it. As they entered the turbo lift Soral asked, "Lieutenant I have been interested in a subject area that I could use your assistance with."

"Oh?" T'Lanna turned to look at Soral with an a-typical look of Vulcan curiosity. "What assistance may I offer?"

"Since you have had comprehensive study of the mind what can you tell me about dreams?"

"Dreams? Well they can be a window to the soul, or so some would have you believe. Dreams have a way of allowing us to explore what's in the recesses of our minds, whether it's something locked away that we don't normally recall or perhaps something we don't want to recall." She looked at Soral.

"I see. Fascinating. And the figures in dreams they represent struggles we have or questions we are attempting to work out."

"They can be, yes" T'Lanna nodded. "May I ask if there's a specific reason you wish to know?"

He was silent. "I am attempting to work out if that is so amongst all races." He side stepped her question. "Is it so for both Humans and Betazoids, or Denobulans and Vulcans?"

"It can differ among species, different species have different brains but those who are similar such as Humans and Betazoid's do indeed share a similar method of dreaming. So dreams would serve a similar purpose. I would imagine that Vulcans would share a similar process."

"I see. Is there any correlation between the vividness of dreams and their meaning?"

"That depends. Sometimes the dreams are clear and easy to understand, other times dreams can be elusive in their meaning which makes them harder to decider." T'Lanna walked along beside Soral before pausing. "May I ask, is there something bothering you?"

Soral sighed. "I do not dream much yet...I have begun to and I am not finding any reason for them."

"I see" T'Lanna nodded. "I have sensed that there is something on your mind, perhaps your dreams have something to do with that."

"I do not know. They seem real and when I awake it is never in a peaceful state." He admitted.

"So your dreams are more like nightmares?" T'Lanna studied Soral. "Are you afraid in your dreams?"

"No not nightmares just vivid and disorientating. Fear would speak of emotion. It is more a realness that I have never encountered."

"Of course" T'Lanna nodded. "Might I suggest you keep a diary starting with your first dream, note what you see in as much detail as you can. It might help with bringing some sense to it all."

"A good idea." He said as they exited the lift. They began their walk to the docking section. "If you can kindly meet with Doctor Rose I am sure he will have some suggestions as to where to start counseling. He and I are to meet regularly with respect to medical matters and updates on the crew. I will ensure to add you to the meetings as well."

"I'd appreciate that, thank you." She looked at Soral. "Is there anyone who aboard that you recommend I speak to?"

He had a few ideas but instead said, "I will bow to the doctor's recommendation for now." They reached the docking ring. "I hope that you have a pleasant shopping trip. "

"I'm sure I will Sir and thank you for this." She held up the PADD he'd given her. "I'll make good use of it." With that she headed over to the station.
