Mission: Operation: Crimson Kaleidoscope
Location: Sickbay

{ON}

After all the fuss had died down, and T’Lanna had two minutes to herself she strolled guiltily into Sickbay, she figured Ryan would be annoyed that, not only was she disobeying the light duties order he gave her, but she had also removed her inhibitor. There was also the matter of the mental battle with the other Hamura, her head was still aching from that one. Funnily enough she stillfelt emotionally wound up, and her hands were still shaking, tremors she put down to the extra effort of pushing into Hamura’s mind.

Ryan was asleep on a biobed, not even having made it to his couch.

Walking in T’Lanna saw Ryan sleeping, figuring it was a ‘get out of jail free’ card she turned around to walk out, planning on coming back another time instead.

Ryan woke, more from a feeling than any real noise, and almost rolled off the bio bed before catching himself. "T'Lanna?" He managed to call out to the retreating back before the doors closed.

T’Lanna heard Ryan’s voice, pausing she turned back. Walking in she offered a smile. “Sorry I didn’t mean to wake you. I can come back later...”

"No, I'm up." Ryan stretched, his back popping. "What's up?" He asked, padding over to the replicator for a cup of tea.

“Things with Soral’s Rescue got a little...tough. I’ve got a headache, and my hands haven’t stopped shaking since I got back. It’s my own fault, I ordered Kay’la to remove this...” She handed over the inhibitor. “I needed my senses fully alert, and ready for trouble.”

Ryan couldn't help but let out a sigh of annoyance. He covered it quickly though, giving her a small smile. "Well let's get it back on, and it sounds like you could use a cup of tea as well, maybe some biscuits too. Come on, we'll mini picnic in my office." He gave her a far more real smile, and led the way.

T’Lanna nodded. “Sounds good to me” she followed Ryan to his office and once there settled into a chair. “I seriously have to apologise to Soral, I took a chunk out of him when I was inside his mind. I felt so...angry at him, doesn’t help that I care about him more than I should.”

"I doubt he's holding a grudge." Ryan tried to sound reassuring. "One of the joys of such a small ship. Close friendships." He talked as he ordered the tea and biscuits from the replicator.

“That’s true” T’Lanna nodded and offered a smile. “I consider you all to be more like family than just friends.”

Ryan handed her a cup of tea and put the plate of biscuits between them. Her last comment hit him, and he realized he was being remiss as a friend. So much had been happening medically around the ship, that he'd not kept abreast of the more personal aspects. He watched T'Lanna's hand, looking for any shaking.
"Sooo ummm." He floundered a moment.

T’Lanna looked up at Ryan curiously. “Okay come out and say it” She gave him a wry smile.

"I'm getting married, and leaving. Well not in that order. Leaving, then getting married." He blurted.

“You’re leaving!?” T’Lanna gave Ryan a shocked look. “Married too?” She paused before smiling. “Congratulations! But I’m sure going to miss you.”

He nodded. "I'm going to miss you all as well. But Scarlet is ready to move to the next part of her PhD, and well frankly I am burnt out. I'm going to take some time and just....be. Well, and a fantastically long honeymoon." He grinned.

T’Lanna smiled. “I don’t blame you. You’re a good doctor Ryan, you saved my life! Promise me you’ll keep in touch from time to time?”

"I will T'Lanna."

Holding her drink in her hand, T’Lanna cradled it with two to keep it still as her hand stated shaking again. She’d had a few minor bouts of shaking hands.

"Now that my news is out of the way, let's do a neurological scan, and see where you are at."

T’Lanna nodded. “I have been having a few occurrences of shaking hands, that and mood swings, but I put that down to the stress of recent happenings.”

"And no doubt your need for rest." Ryan lightly scolded. He led her out to the main sickbay so they could do proper scans.

“I know I pushed myself too hard, I’m sorry I didn’t listen to your orders.” T’Lanna offered an apologetic smile. “From now on I will adhere to your advice.”

Ryan couldn't help but chuckle. "Oh well, that's convenient timing. He started up the bed. I'll be leaving copious notes. I hope you follow whatever plan the new CMO comes up with. I just want you to be healthy T'Lanna."

T’Lanna nodded. “I will follow all the instructions I’m given and that’s a promise!” She smiled warmly.
