A present for Victrix

T’Lanna was just settling down with her pregnancy and parenting books and magazines when she was alerted to an incoming message. Checking to see what it was she read it with interest.


TO: All senior Staff
From: Lt. Cmdr. Soral

RE: Classified information. DO NOT SHARE WITH CO

Attention all senior staff. This note is from your XO only, the CO, does not know what is occurring and I ask that you keep the contents of this note from her.

He took a sip of Kavas juice as he continued reading.

As you all know we are on a mission to bring a new CO to our ship. That will mean Commander Victrix's departure. While she has not been with the ship for long she has had an impact on us in many ways. She has brought together a crew that will no doubt serve both Starfleet and Commander Stillwater well. She has left an imprint on us and I have no doubt this crew has left an imprint on her. She has worked diligently to ensure we are more then a crew and I wish to ensure that she sees this crew can function as a family unit despite the different backgrounds and placed and ships we come from. She has had faith in us it is time we show faith in her.

In honour of her work and as a tribute to her I am pushing for a formal change of command. In order to make the ceremony unique I wish each of you to quietly talk with your departments. I have reserved the ships retail replicator so that you can either alone or as a department prepare a gift for the commander.

Also I ask those of you who know the commander better to include personal notes for her with respect to the positive impact she has had on you. I ask that each person within you department enter words of well wishes and have them sent to me directly. I will be compiling them in a solid plaque that the Commander can take with her.

I again impress upon you the secrecy of this endeavour. Risians appreciate the element of surprise and I wish this to be a pleasant one for her.

Your participation is not mandatory but will be appreciated. Your silence, however, is mandatory. This is to be a surprise.

T’Lanna was happy to see that Soral had appeared to have forgiven Victrix for her mistake on comedy night, or at the very least was giving her the benefit of the doubt.

She had to think what she could possibly give as a suitable present for Victrix. It was only when she glanced at the magazine in front of her that she had a great idea. She could create a collage of the crew’s photographs and include her scan photo from Ryan in it as well not that there was much to see of her baby yet.

She had access to all the personnel files and with the computer’s help she could soon pull all the pictures together and arrange them in a suitable way as a momento for Victrix. It was a fun idea and she wanted to get straight on with it, for once her computer time would be for doing something properly fun.
