{ON}

With Raith’s disappearance playing on her mind T’Lanna dropped into Sickbay, she wasn’t sure if Ryan would be up with it being so late but if not Emerick would be fine for her needs. Walking into the dimly lit Sickbay it was eerily quiet, for some strange reason the sight of the biobeds made her nervous but she couldn’t explain why. She almost leapt out of her skin at the sound of someone behind her.

Ryan came padding out of his office. His hair going in all directions. He had his uniform pants on, but only a tshirt, and was barefoot.

“Ryan ... sorry!” She offered an apologetic smile. “I’m a bag of nerves tonight. Raith is missing!”

He waved off the apology, and tried to hide a yawn. "Lets get some tea." He led her back into his office, and it became clear that he'd been sleeping on the couch. As he reached the replicator and ordered tea, he asked. "Missing?"

T’Lanna nodded as she stifled a yawn. “I woke up and he was gone. There’s no sign of him anywhere.”

"Oh.' Ryan commented. "Maybe he just went for a walk, or a middle of the night drink. I'm sure he'll show up." Ryan offered a sleepy smile.

She took a seat massaging her aching back muscles as she did so. “I don’t know if I slept awkward or not but my muscles are aching like mad.”

He placed his own tea on his desk, then offered her the other mug. "Do you mind if I take a look?" He asked.

"Feel free" T'Lanna nodded and offered a smile. "Perhaps it's just muscle aches brought on by my pregnancy, I understand those are normal."

"Perhaps." Ryan agreed, but he grabbed his tricorder anyway. "Have you been staying hydrated?" He asked. "Start any new workout routines?" He added the question, going through the most obvious reasons for muscle pain.

“I’ve been drinking regularly to keep up my fluids, and no to the workout routines.” T’Lanna paused. “There’s nothing I can think of besides ... well extra curricular activities with Raith” she blushed. “We’re not rough or anything, we take it slowly and carefully.”

Ryan had to try and hide his grin. Luckily he was indeed a doctor and didn't blush over such matters. When he got to examining what he found was odd...

Ryan spotted some bruising, but it was so diffuse it was hard to tell if it was just fingerprints from as T'Lanna said, some enthusiastic extra curricular activities, or something else. He took some scans before using the dermal regenerator. "Well that was some unusual bruising, let's just keep an eye on things."

T’Lanna nodded. “Do you think this could be ...” She let the words trail off. “What if whatever is going on ... what if I’ve been chosen too? The dreams I had about Raith they sounded so like those Soral was speaking of in his log.”

Ryan tried to keep the worry off his face, but she had a very valid point. He didn't want to over react, yet he didn't want to not take her fear seriously either. "I think you should stay with somebody, all the time. At least until we get a handle of what is going on. Can you remember the dream?"

She paused to think, taking a deep breath she closed her eyes and let her breath out slowly as she tried to recall. “Raith was ... on a bed of some kind, the room around him was ... dark. There were tubes or something connected to him. Up until now I thought he was being assimilated but ...” She opened her eyes. “It’s not that it’s different. I just wish I could add more detail to it.”

Ryan sighed. "Dreams are pretty much impossible to interpret. Everybody processes things differently. But I think we should gather these dream memories. Speak to any others who have had similar dreams, and try to find a common link."

T'Lanna nodded. "Agreed. Let's compile what we can and go from there."

Ryan reached over and gently squeezed T'Lanna's hand. "We'll figure it out."
