T’Lanna was sitting in her favourite spot in the crew Lounge, the quiet window seat that looked out upon the stars. Little Jayce was happily gurgling away as his little eyes looked out on the floating sea of stars as T’Lanna cradled him. T’Lanna’s mind was going over what Haru had told her about her outburst having helped people including himself, she was still getting stares from others who weren’t sure whether to class her as a danger to be avoided or not.

Jarin had got a drink and looked around the lounge. Seeing T'Lanna he decide to go over and gave a quick "hi."

T’Lanna jumped at the sound of Jarin’s voice, she’d been so deep in thought she hadn’t even noticed him approach the table. “Jarin! I’m sorry, please join me. I was miles away, and without my senses I don’t feel people approaching.”

Taking the offered seat Jarin took a sip of his drink "how are you and little man doing" he reached over and tickled the baby's tummy slightly.

T’Lanna smiled as Jayce smiled happily at having his little tummy to tickled. “Jayce is perfect, me... I’m okay” she offered a somewhat melancholy look.

"Well" Jarin gave a smile and continued to play with the baby "if you ever need some mommy time" he made air quotes "I'd be happy to keep an eye on my little buddy."

T’Lanna smiled, “Anytime Jarin, I’m lucky to have so many people here who are willing to help. You are welcome anytime.” She looked down at Jayce, “Would you like to hold him?”

Jarin was honored to be trusted with Jayce "I would love to" he wore a huge smile.

T’Lanna smiled warmly and gently handed over her son, he was very good when being held by others. “It’s always good to socialise children, Jayce seems to enjoy it anyway.”

"I couldn't agree more" Jarin smiled holding the baby close. "And he's just the cutest little fella" he smiled at T'Lanna "how's mom doing?"

“Mom is...” T’Lanna paused. “Feeling a little disappointed in myself for failing my first control test with Soral and Ryan.” She sighed. “I want this inhibitor off but the test and my readings show I’m not ready yet.”

"Just be patient" Jarin suggested with a smile on his face still looking at Jayce. "I know you are ready for things to get back to normal" he added quickly "but I feel like it's similar to a muscle injury. The best thing is to stretch them out and get them going again, but slowly."

T’Lanna nodded. “I guess I am learning more about myself, who I am without my senses. I have to rely on my instincts now instead of what I sense about people.”

"That's" Jarin looked over at T'Lanna "not necessarily a bad thing" a smile on his face.

T’Lanna smiled as well. “That’s true, plus I have my new duties to integrate with my current ones. It’s all a learning curve, all of that and being a mother as well.” She offered Jayce her fingers smiling as he wrapped his tiny fingers around one of hers.

"He's so precious" Jarin smiled at T'Lanna, who was the closest thing he had to a friend aboard the Bear.

“That he is, I gave serious thought to leaving the ship with him before Barret said he could stay onboard. I didn’t want to leave Raith, he’s part of me now I’d be lost without him.” She grinned as Jayce gave her a bright little smile. “You’re all my family now.”
