Lieutenant Commander DeVala Victrix recording:

My time aboard the USS Fontana has been one of perplexing circumstances. Though the Starship was not designed for scientific exploration nor this crew fully prepared for the ramifications of going at out towards the deep galactic South we nevertheless have found ourselves a state of scientific curiosity. The recently discovered nebula apparently has some adverse effects on the crew. Lieutenant Kingsley has interestingly decided to name the nebula the Lenora nebula. This nebula remains more of a mystery than anything at this point in time; however, I look forward to submitting our scientific reports as limited as they are to Starfleet Science and the Federation Science Council in hopes that they will dispatch a scientific vessel for research purposes Ann properly chart this nebula thoroughly.

It is with some disappointment Vance we had to move on from this nebula without exploring it to wear vest abilities. Perhaps, one day we will be able to return to this nebula, but for now it remains a faintly close memory. I still, however, find myself sitting at my desk pondering about this stellar Phenomena and the effects that it had on my crew. The unconsciousness is still very much a mystery even to modern Federation medicine and psychology. Perhaps the brain will always be our Sky or our sun, and us Icarus daring to fly just a little too close a little too soon.

When I read about the effects that the nebula had on the shuttle crew, I could not help but dig a little deeper into scientific reports of Federation Starship cruise experiencing nightmares and night terrors. There are very few reports of nebula having these effects on a crew or on any individual let alone several of them. However, there were reports of incidents with beings from different dimensions in time and space beings which would abduct individuals as well as beings that experimented on their subjects they're abductee's And I could not help but you ponder whether or not the effects were from the nebula itself or something that lived deeper in a darker corner in the darkest shadow lurking waiting in seizing the opportunity of the curious explorers. I suppose I will never know for sure what exactly it was that affected my crew at least not until more research an exploration is conducted within the nebula.

Yet we have no choice but to plow through the nebula and try to use one of the various wormholes I'll be it they are unstable in order to get back to Federation space or at least that's what I'm hoping as one can never truly predict these unpredictable phenomena. These wormholes are not stable And I know it's about as risky to venture down one of these wormholes not knowing exactly where it's going to spit us out, but the only other option what's the travel ads warp speed for an undetermined amount of time until we reached calmer more stable space in which we could have used our quantum slipstream drive.

I just could not see us traveling along several weeks, months, or godforsaken years trying to get back to Federation space. Luckily, the USS Camelot is out in this region of space but even the Camelot is cut off from the rest of the Federation. If something were to occur out here something bad something terrible, there is no telling how long it would take for the Federation to arrive. We were fortunate enough to come in using our QSD, but the number of starships equipped with such technology is minimal. I just hope we make it through this journey in one piece.
