Mission: Operation: Recall
Location: USS Fontana
Timeline: 2393 MD 02 Late Evening

{ON:}

Soral stood outside Vali's office. He wondered if he should leave or not. He wanted to yet he needed a counselor's advice. He'd lifted his hand to ring he chime so many time and yet he'd changed his mind. He hadn't seen her since the incident earlier that day. He'd left Alex sleeping in his quarters and he'd come here finding out from the computer that Vali was here.

T’Lanna had passed her door once already and got a sense of someone outside, as she passed the door again she turned her attention fully to it getting a stronger sense. Having been inside Soral’s mind after his collapse she had a sense of familiarity now. She stepped to the door and opened it. “Hello Commander, please come in.”

Soral had been caught. He entered. "Apologies for the disruption. Perhaps I should not have come."

“Well you’ve been outside my door for a little while, so it must be important” T’Lanna smiled. “Please sit Soral, let’s talk about what brought you here. How are you?”

"Better. I am anxious to be rid of the telepathic blocker." He walked over and sat down. "Are you well?"

“I’m...okay” T’Lanna shrugged her shoulders. “I’m still a little...off balance, kind of, after what happened to you. We weren’t melded but we were sharing the meditation when you were attacked. A mental invasion like that is difficult to get over and I also entered your mind briefly while you were unconscious. I was trying to find out what had happened.”

"I believe I have a grasp on that." He sat back. "Things have started to make sense."

T’Lanna took a seat and looked at Soral curiously. “Do you know who attacked you?”

"No however I can make some logical conclusions. Since we have come here to this Nebula I had thought that it was what caused it however I have been having nightmares, vivid dreams since we left the station. Each time there has been one element that has always been the same."

T’Lanna gave Soral the a-typical curious Vulcan look. “Which is?”

"The half Romulan and Half Vulcan woman. She is always there and always asking questions that I had avoided answering. Doctor Rose said that these bouts of illness have been because of Telepathic exertion. I have not used my telepathy much."

“So you think this woman is trying to get certain information from you? Do you recall what the questions were about?” She paused to think. “This woman would have to be seriously powerful to do this to you naturally unless she’s using some kind of device to amplify her thoughts.”

"Indeed. I believe it is a device. The mind that contacted me this time was not telepathic. Less sophisticated. If he was able to contact me and not be a telepath it is logical to assume that it is a device. The questions were concerning Eyelaya. This time he was trying to find information about the journal that was transmitted to you."

T’Lanna nodded. “So if it’s information on Eyelaya they want, why haven’t they tried getting into my thoughts? Why only you?” This was getting curious-er and curious-er. “I think perhaps we should speak to Eyelaya. If it’s her they’re so interested in then she maybe in danger. Plus she’s the only one who’d know who these people are.”

"Agreed. However I would recommend we review the journals and I have a call with Betazed. I would like you to take the call with me."

T’Lanna nodded. “Of course. Perhaps it would be best if I have the Doctor fit me with an inhibitor for the time being. If these people can’t get to you they might change strategy...or we let them and try turning the tables? A connection does go two ways.”

"Once these calls are over I will be removing the inhibitor. I will allow access and then use it to find information of my own. Perhaps not wise but it must be done." He studied her. "I also wish to speak with you about something personal."

T'Lanna nodded. "Might I suggest you do your hunting under medical supervision. As for your personal matter, that's what I'm here for. I'm happy to help."

"Indeed. Medical supervision would be advisable." He studied her. "I do not know where to start." He said honestly.

“How’s about at the beginning?” T’Lanna smiled warmly.

The logical answer. "I have spoken with my sister again. Her marriage date has been set."

T’Lanna nodded. “You’re still having second thoughts about your marriage?”

"Yes. In fact I have begun seeing someone on ship," he admitted.

T’Lanna nodded. “I know you’re trying to do what’s best for your sister Soral, but what about what’s best for you? I may not be the best person to speak of Vulcan tradition but the way I personally see it your happiness counts as well.” She paused. “Have you tried talking to your sister about your dilemma?”

"No. It is my job as her older brother to protect her from such things." He sighed. "I can delay my marriage for another year but that is the limit."

T’Lanna nodded. “It sounds like a very difficult decision Soral. Perhaps delaying your marriage would give you time to think over your decision.”

"The issue would not exist if I had not started this...affair." He leaned back in the chair. "She is... everything I have wanted yet I can only have her for a brief time. I had hoped that both would be speared pain when the affair ended however...that is looking less likely."

T’Lanna nodded. “Whoever said love is easy? Only you can make the decision about your future Soral, I can try and offer an opinion, a different point of view but in the long run it all falls squarely on your shoulders. “Heaven forbid I’d advise you to do what’s right for you and to hell with everything else!”

"Indeed." He stood. "I should get back to work. Let us meet tomorrow when we can speak with Betazed and review the journals."

T’Lanna nodded. “Of course. If there’s anything else you need you know where to find me.” She smiled warmly.
