ON:

Mac's breathing came out in gasps as he rushed out of the shuttle and towards the stone. He hadn't been prepared for what they'd found in the shuttle and there had not been a chance to use his phaser. He wiped the blood off his forehead that was dripping into his eyes as he ran for Vali and the nurse. He peeled around the corner to find them standing where he left them. He stopped for a moment feeling dizzy and his stomach turning violently. He closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths.

“Mac! What in the hell happened!?” T’Lanna motioned for Kay’la to help, even though she was already stepping up to do so.

“Sit down Mac” Kay’la was quick grabbing her tricorder she ran a scan. “Severe Concussion, I’m surprised you’re on your feet!” She grabbed out what she’d need to tend his head injury stemming the blood flow from the wound. “If you hold still this won’t take me long, but you ideally need to be resting not running around.”

"No time...Hamura ran after them. Damn it! They knocked me out quick." He used the back of his hand to wipe blood from his eyes.

“Here let me” Kay’la helped to clean up the remaining blood before doing what she could for now. “I’m giving you a stimulant it’ll keep you on your feet in the short term, but when it wears off you’ll be down and out.”

“Right” T’Lanna looked at Mac. “Let’s find Hamura and Soral.”

He gave a nod. "I didn't get a look at the other guy but...there was something familiar about him." He stood and looked at the two ladies. "Do you have your phasers?"

T’Lanna nodded. “We came fully equipped.”

"Set them to high stun." He pulled out a tricorder. "Just follow in my footsteps okay?"

Both T’Lanna and Kay’la nodded. Setting their phasers to high stun they followed on behind Mac. T’Lanna kept her voice low. “How far do we have to go?”

"Not sure. We head east which is where Soral is. That's where Hamura was heading too..." He motioned for them to follow. "Let's go." He turned the tricorder forward and began walking.

Following on T’Lanna kept her senses keen for anyone approaching them. It felt good to have her senses back in full swing, but she had no doubt Ryan would have something to say about it when she got back. She kept her hand on her phaser hoping she wouldn’t have to use it.

They moved quickly and soon the sounds of fighting reached their ears. Hamura's yell of frustration registered. Mac help up a hand to stop the party and they moved slower. The sight that greeted them confused the hell out of Mac. There, a few fee away, stood Hamura in uniform and an exact copy fighting a battle that seemed... eerie. Mac's tricorder beeped and he swore long and hard. "They're surrounded by Romulan transporter disbursers. One wrong step and either one of them would be locked in a transporter beam that would pull apart their molecules forever.

T’Lanna moved closer to Mac taking a look for herself. “There’s only one way we could be looking at two Hamura’s, which gives all the more evidence pointing to two Soral’s. How do we help Hamura?”

Mac gritted his teeth. "Not much we can do." He pointed to the left. "Look there! Soral. I'll try get to him you take the tricorder. It will tell you where the transport rings are call them out to Hamura...unfortunately they'll both know but it's all we can do."

T’Lanna nodded. “Take Kay’la with you, she can help Soral. I’ll keep the Hamura’s safe.”

Mac gave a nod. "Ready?" He said to the nurse.

“Whenever you are” Kay’la nodded. “Let’s get the Commander out of here!”

Mac gave a nod. He held out his hand. "Give me your hand stay behind me. I'll need your medical tricorder for this. I can tune it a bit and we'd be okay."

“Here you go” Kay’la handed over her tricorder, before taking Mac’s hand. “No matter what I’m sticking to you like glue.”

"Good." He set the tricorder up and the made their way through an unseen maze. Mac had to fight hard not to do anything to help Hamura. He knew that Hamura would want him to get to Soral.

“How far do we have to go?” Kay’la whispered as they progressed. “That stimulant I gave you isn’t going to last forever.”

"Not far. Just around the ridge." It was a few steps away but he could feel the stimulant wearing off. "I think that I may need another shot."

Kay’la looked uncertain. “Mac I can’t keep giving you this stuff! The after effects will get you.” She pulled out another stimulant. “This is the last one!” She pressed it to his neck. “Now let’s get Soral.”

He gave a nod. They rounded the corner and Mac froze. There, on the ground lay Soral at the mercy of someone that looked like Hamura but Mac knew it wasn't. One the person standing over Soral had a scar on their left cheek down to their chin and two the real Hamura stood a few feet away holding their ribs. "Shit!" He said.

Kay’la stepped alongside Mac, looking towards Soral, her attention turning to the mirror Hamura then back to Mac. “Great! Now what!?”

Mac sighed. Before he could answer he heard footsteps and turned to see Vali coming. He was relieved maybe she could talk them down. Counselors were negotiators right? Maybe she could at least distract Hamura's Mirror.

T’Lanna moved alongside Mac and Kay’la, setting eyes on Soral lying at the mercy of another Hamura. “So definitely the mirror universe, or at least another version of our own universe.” She sighed. “I don’t know what his..” She motioned to Soral. “Duplicate is offering you for this, but in this universe Hamura and Soral are extremely close friends. Whatever your mirror master wants killing our Soral isn’t going to get it.”
