Location: Various Places | USS Standing Bear & Station
Timeline: 2394 MD 02 Late Afternoon

{ON}

As per her instructions from Captain Whitley T’Lanna had headed to the bridge to recall the crew to the ship. Shoreleave was well and truly over, it was time to get back to work. =/\= Standing Bear to all crew, I’m sorry but it’s time to return to the ship. Anyone who can return to the ship within the next 48 hours please do so, if not you’ll have to wait here until the ship returns. =/\=

Haru and Mac were just tossing the last of their items into the bag for Risa when the order came through for the recall. There was never a hesitation to Haru, Mac admired and loved that about him.

“Well Risa will have to wait.”

Mac silently held in a yippie

Haru smiled, “Weren’t looking forward to our honeymoon?”

“No it, it’s terrible that it was cancelled.”

Haru laughed, “You’re such a horrible liar. Why don’t you take bridge tactical and I’ll take Tact Sec get the team ready.”

“You’re the ranking officer.” Mac grinned wickedly, “Wouldn’t want you to have to cuff me.” He winked and was out the door before Haru could respond.

Haru laughed and wabbled to the chair beside the bed. He sat down feeling less tired. His legs were getting stronger and goodness knew he had to push himself now. God knows what awaited on Vulcan.

As the call came in Hamura was already rallying the team knowing that this was coming. They’d personally tracked down the entire department starting this afternoon and all but two were aboard, a minor two. “Alright everyone. I got new orders. Abernathy get those replicators figured out, Thompson I need you with me, we’re going to check each and every isoliniear chip in main Engineering, then I want the engines primed and ready.”

“Yes sir!” A chorus sounded.

“Make sure this department is working at one hundred and ten percent people. I want no lagging. When the new captain calls for engines I want them to purr.” Hamura turned to Edwards. “Eddy I need you to ensure that all emergency back ups are functioning and the new installs are up and running.”

“Yes sir.”

“We have 48 hours people to ensure this department is fully ready!”

Oriana just slipped out of the turbo lift. She headed to the admi station on the ship, a small console that was by coms that would help her get all the reports ready and communicate with the different departments. She sighed, this was really starting to get exciting. She had a small amount of anxiety but she found that she was too busy to even think about it.

Vali and the rest of the staff seemed there. She looked up and saw Mac rush out onto tactical. She smiled at him and gave a nod. She had hoped that Haru would be here, he was the more senior one but she knew that he had some hang ups about the chair. She’d have to talk to Vali maybe the woman could talk to him.

She shook her head and tossed that train of thought on the back burner. “Engineering will be ready in 48 hours,” She shouted the report. She also began downloading all the outstanding tasks that were not completed on the station that would eventually need addressing.

As she worked, and her fingers flew over the console she couldn’t help but wonder how all this would turn out. She really respected Commander Soral and hoped that Starfleet wasn’t going to be too hard on him. She understood him, understood his view and she guessed that many others did too but how all this would end…she didn’t know.

T’Lanna was sitting in her seat to the side of the centre seat monitoring the status of the personnel recall, it seemed the majority of the crew were already either onboard, or on their way back to the ship.

=/\= Off Ship - Station =/\=

Adrianna smiled to the man opposite her, "that's my cue to head back to the ship."

The man sat back and nodded, "you know, Adie, I'm glad you called. I wasn't sure if you'd make it off Ekos. For what it's worth, I'm glad you both made it. As much as I dislike Leopold - - consider it a form of jealousy-- he is great for you."

"Constantine," Adrianna reached out a hand, and placed it on his that was currently nursing an empty mug of something, "just, thank you."

"And yes, I'll get the message to your mum about being married with one on the way," he pulled his hand away from hers, sitting up a little straighter.

Adrianna saw the retraction but let it go. She nodded, standing up, "until the next time." Adrianna didn't wait for a response, she'd done this too many times and knew Constantine a little too well. She headed out of the station's café and headed back to the ship, hitting her command badge, "on my way."

=/\= Aboard the Station - Habitat area =/\=

Ryan was lounging on the rather ridiculously large bed of their hotel room. It seemed far too much trouble to leave the base, when all they really needed was some down time. It had done Ryan wonders. The ever present bags were gone from his eyes, and between the sleep and the sex, he was in a decidedly good mood.

He put his book down, about to ask Scarlet if there was anything she wanted to do, when the notification of recall came through. He tapped his combadge. "Acknowledged. I'll be there in half an hour." He looked over to Scarlet. "Well, it was nice while it lasted."

The woman looked up from the comfy spot she'd found to rest her head, on his chest. She looked sated and somewhat ready for a nap. Placing her PaDD down on the bed, she groaned, "why half an hour? We have 48 hours. We could do so much, and by so much, I mean so little, for another 24 at least."

Ryan ran his fingers through her hair. "Tempting, to say the very least. But if there is a recall, something is going on." He kissed her forehead. "I'm sure you could wait though, enjoy some more relaxing." He slipped out of the bed with a sigh of regret and began getting dressed.

"It won't be the same," she sat up, finding clothes, "I may as well return with you. Need to check in on Emerick anyway. All of his updates should be finished by now."

=/\= Medical Department =/\=

Kay’la had spent her shoreleave aboard ship, she hadn’t really got anyone to spend the time with so instead she’d simply enjoyed catching up on her books and relaxing on the holodeck. The recall had come just at a time when she was starting to get a little melancholy at not having anyone special of her own. Back in Sickbay she was checking medical supplies ready for departure.

Oriana scanned the departments. Ops was waiting on three more crew members that would not be available until tomorrow and Science was still getting ready. It was the last push to get equipment on the ship and into the cargo bays that could be installed en route. Things were looking up and once again Oriana was impressed with how the crew was functioning flawlessly.

=/\= Captain's Quarters =/\=

In her quarters, Pippa sat on a sofa with a warm beverage resting in a mug caressed by her hand. She had looked out at space moments ago, knowing that adventures were ahead. This crew all to familiar with danger, but they had yet to truly come to know Captain Whitley. In time, they would. Each and every soul aboard. At least that was how Pippa envisioned it.
